Sensible Money is an economic think tank exploring solutions to the European debt crisis. Our primary objective is to explain to newcomers, and remind economists, of where money comes from and why there's less of it during a recession. We would like to get to a stage where the entire money supply, cash and digital, is issued debt free by the Irish state. We would adjust the money supply to meet the expected demand for transactions. This should provide us with an adequate medium of exchange with which to trade all the time.
