The Blockhouse School Project (TBS)

TBS is repurposing of a redundant elementary school into a Sustainability Training Centre. Permaculture philosophy, principles and practice inform the transformation of a 6.5 acre property and 15,000 sq ft former school building into a Community Food Hub, Green Small Business Incubator, Cultural Centre, and Sustainability Training Centre. We are engaging the local community +100 km radius, partnering with other regional like-minded organizations, with a view to creating a replicable model. TBS is the first project of non-profit South Shore Social Ventures Co-op Ltd.
